*Due to the current regulations by the German federal government to contain the spread of the corona virus and the distance regulations applicable to Berlin, the CHAMÄLEON Theater will prolong its closure until further notice. Unfortunately, the current guidelines do not allow the CHAMÄLEON to create enough seats in the audience or to bring physically demanding ensemble works on stage. We are working hard to delevop coherent hygiene and program concepts that can be implemented under the current conditions and that we are able to finance. Until then, the CHAMÄLEON will remain closed. Please find all current updates here.*

We are responsible for the conceptual and artistic direction of the CHAMÄLEON Theater and also support the theatre in its strategic marketing work. We have a clear focus in terms of content and bring high-quality and innovative contemporary circus productions to Berlin. With our programme selection we aim to do justice to the diversity and subtlety of this genre, which continues to be underrepresented in Germany. We bring the pacemakers and exciting creative minds of the international scene to Berlin and manage the planning, implementation, and artistic development of the productions, whether this be an adaptation of an existing piece or the conception and development of a new idea. This results in unique show productions that are precisely tailored to the technical conditions of the venue and enrich the profile of the CHAMÄLEON Theater with new perspectives.

In order to preserve the high-quality and sustainable staging of the productions, we bring only two main productions to our stage each year. In addition, we complement the theatre's programme with our event series "CHAMÄLEON meets", which includes select guest performances. Another series of events particularly close to our hearts is the Open Stage format "OFF NIGHT", which offers artists a safe platform for new ideas. The aim is to stimulate creative and professional exchange between artists, creative people, organisers, and colleagues. “OFF NIGHT" is not open to the public, but is designed as an intra-scene event.
